In the 1st chapter of Joshua, The Lord is encouraging Joshua, because Moses had died, and he is now the newly ordained leader. Now Joshua was doubting his ability to lead. So, the Lord spoke to him by saying, “Have I not commanded you to Be strong and courageous. Joshua do not be afraid and do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
