What is a drop in center?

A drop in center is a Non-profit community-based organization providing a safe & supportive environment for people diagnosed with mental illness. Perfect Place fosters a stigma free atmosphere where members feel accepted and can grow in the areas of self-worth, dignity, respect, and inclusion. Drop in Centers serve individuals with mental health or substance abuse disorders diagnosis who need support and assistance in living and recovering from their disorder. Individuals are given the opportunity to engage in activities such as daily living skills, socialization, soft employment skills, and coping techniques. Members are able to refer themselves although many members are referred by a physician, counselors or others.
